Livestock

As meat consumption is increased due to enhanced national income and change of dietary culture, ratio of livestock industry among agro-forestry business is being raised but due to an effect of import opening, difficulty of livestock farmers is being aggravated in reality.

However, in order to promote a desire of breeding livestock and strengthen competitiveness of livestock industry, best effort is being exerted so that difficult situation could be overcome by strengthening comprehensive support for production base, breeding facility, expansion of production base of bulky feed and fostering family labor force-based full time farming. Livestock breeding status in 2004-2008 is as follows.
