REISSUE OF ALIEN REGISTRATION APPLICATION

This is civil application available for registered aliens who fall under the following criteria and thus make a reservation for a visit to District Immigration Office or local branch of the Immigration Office:

• 1.Alien registration certificate is lost or disappeared
• 2.Alien registration certificate is worn out and no longer in use
• 3.Alien registration certificate has no more writing space for necessary items
• 4.Name, gender, birth date, and nationality have been changed and the application for alteration of items of the alien registration is submitted.
• 5.A dependent that was jointly registered in the same alien registration and turns to 17 years old age.

Fees	₩ 10,000 KRW (Revenue Stamp of Government) Country exempted for fee : Argentine under age 14 Visa type exempted for fee : Corporate/Foreign Investor(D-8)
Process	Reservation for a visit 1. Reservation for a visit - 2.visit District Immigration Office or local branch of Immigration Office - 3. Application submission - 4. Receiving application - 5. Processing application *Note: Civil applications that were not processed on the day of your visit can be tracked later in “Status of Civil Application”
Hours of operation	Reservation for a visit : Processing time: 2 – 3 weeks (This type of civil application is promptly processed within customer’s visit but now it requires 2 – 3 weeks because the Korea Mint Corporation issues the certificate on behalf of the Immigration Office)
Processing agency	District Immigration Office or local branch of Immigration Offices
Relevant authority	Sojourn Measure Team at the Korea Immigration Service, Department of Justice.
Related law/policy	Article 33 or Article 35 of Immigration Control Act Article 40 or Article 42 of Immigration Control Act Enforcement Ordinance Article 45 or Article 48 of Immigration Control Act Enforcement Regulation

Others	A reservation for visit can be made until one day before the day on which you want the certificate reissued. (A dependent that was jointly registered and turns to 17 years old age can make a reservation for visit until one day before the 60th day from the 17 years old birthday.
